My Story: From A Gaming Professional to Home Cook
Hi, I’m Nyagok Beny, the creator behind Five Pantry, and like you, I’m navigating the daily challenge of “what’s for dinner?” By day, I work in the gaming industry, which means long hours, tight project deadlines, and the kind of schedule that makes meal planning feel like a distant dream.
But here’s the thing: I’m a passionate foodie who love exploring new food places, traveling to taste authentic cuisines from different cultures, and yes, I genuinely enjoy cooking… when I have the time and energy for it.
The problem? Most evenings, I’d come home absolutely drained, order expensive takeout again, and feel guilty about not cooking something healthier and more affordable. Sound familiar?
I knew something had to change. But I also couldn’t pretend I had the energy for those beautiful, time-consuming recipes I’d see online that required 20 ingredients and multiple hours of prep.
That’s when Five Pantry was born – out of my own desperate need for quick, realistic recipes that actually worked with my chaotic schedule and whatever random ingredients I happened to have on hand.
